I like to be able to organize things to my preference and with this particular Folder, I can't or at least I don't know how to unless I delete the whole Folder and repopulate it with only pictures that are desktop worthy. And for some not all the pictures I 'set to desktop' go to that folder anymore. I just simply want to delete single pictures from that Folder that are not desktop worthy after I started to repopulate it with Pictures. They did delete from said folder, the ones I wanted to keep as well as the others I didn't.

I checked to make sure they did't delete from iPhoto but didn't check to see if they would delete from said Folder. To be clear, we’re talking about the default desktop pictures that are bundled with macOS and Mac OS X and available to all users through the Desktop system preference, not the 43 hidden wallpapers we revealed in Mac OS X that are part of screen savers, and not any of the other imagery tucked away in Mac OS. I did recently delete a bunch of documents which were mostly pictures in iPhoto as well as the one in said folder. I don't know if something has changed lately in System Preferences but when I used to go to Desktop to change to a different picture in the Folders>Pictures that I have 'set to desktop' from Facebook or somewhere else on the 'net or from my iPhoto, they don't all show up in this Pictures Folder like they used to. I don't know how to do what you suggest in your second paragraph and I don't know what you mean when you say 'home folder'. I didn't have that problem till recently. Also, for some reason, several of the pictures that I 'set to desktop' are not ending up in the said Pictures Folder and I don't know why. If that's not possible, I will make a separate folder with just the photos I want as desktops and then delete the whole Pictures Folder and then repopulate it with desktop worthy photos. To me it just makes sense that one should be able to delete them one at a time if one wanted to. Click 'Desktop and Screen Saver' button and then click 'Desktop' tab and then drag the new photo to the image of the desktop. If you want to delete photos from Mac desktop without actually deleting them from iPhoto Library, then open 'System Preferences' on your Mac. I know that I can delete the whole folder but I don't see a way to delete them singlely(?). The desktop picture is controlled in the 'System Preferences' pane on your Mac. Some of the pictures aren't worthy of being a desktop and I would like to delete them. When I do that they end up in the Pictures subfolder under the Folders label.

The Folders>Pictures in System Preferneces>Desktop/Screensaver are pictures that I got off Facebook when you right click on a picture someone has posted and you have the option to set as desktop. Thank you, I see you understood my question.
